Halfwitt and I have some exciting news!!
Instead of waiting until July 31st, our
announced wedding date, we went to the
Davis County Court House on Monday the
13th and eloped!! I am excited, mostly
because in several years, our anniversary will
be on Friday the 13th. Yahoo!

Sunday night (the 12th) I was driving around
with Sam (Halfwitt), and I said, "Do you want to
get married tomorrow?" And he said, "sure!"
Five minutes later, he said, "Were you
serious?" I told him I was, so we made plans
to go to the courthouse early monday.

We went to the courthouse apprx. noon, but I
needed my birth certificate to get the license.
We made arrangements to have everything
set up, so it would be easy to take care of
once we returned. We went to his parents
house, rounded him up some nice cloths, and
washed our hair and got ready. Then we
rushed off to my parents house to get a
vintage Gunne Saxx dress (prairie style dress
of the 70's-80's), and my birth certificate.

Usually time just flies by for me, but the 20
minutes drive from Ogden to Bountiful, where
our 2 witnesses (our good friends, Tyler and
Anna) were was absolutely torture!! Sam and I
were practicaly exploding out of the windows
we were so excited!!

Once we got there, we got the license, and got
married!! It was a very nice little ceremony, and
it felt so nice to finally be wed to the person I
love most in this world. The woman typing up
the certificate mentioned that we cleaned up
good. We looked pretty miserable when we
went that morning.

Afterwards, we went to our apartment with our
friends, and had a meal of Wendy's and
watched, "A Knight's Tale" on the new tv and
dvd player they got us for our marraige. It was
very silly, but so much fun.

We really suprised a LOT of people. My
parents were in D.C, and my sister emailed
them. We went to Sam's (Halfwitt's) parents
house later that day, and his mother said,
"Why are you guys so dressed up? Did you get
married or something?" So we ripped out the
marraige certificate, and she said, "Did your
father put you up to this? Are you joking? etc."
It was terribly funny. Most people are suprised
we are married, but most think getting eloped
is something we'd do.

News spread like wildfire, and it's been great
to hear from good friends who we haven't
seen in a while. This weekend, the "Lost
Boys" (Sam's friends from a boy scout camp
he worked at) are coming to stay with us. I get
to play Wendy, I am very excited. I think Sam is
the first of 'em to leave Never Never Land. .
.but don't quote me on that.

So, now I am Mrs. Halfwitt. Does that mean
we share that half, making us quarterwitts? Or
am I the other 1/2. I tend to think it's the later.
He's the half that teases the ferrets, and I am
the half that finds his socks. It works out
perfectly!! ;)

We've got a lot of time ahead of us, to figure
each other out and make things work! But I
look forward to it each morning! As time
progresses, it amazes me that I love him
more today than I did the day before.

Tess Lee (AKA-Mrs. Halwitt)
