Okay. Here's what I said to some folks last night, and here's what I really, really think:

I can't state clearly enough that I was joking. I have a very happy, equitable marriage. Nobody's henpecked. Nobody's the boss. Nobody is "submitting" - in the modern sense of the word - on anything. Equal. Equitable. 60%/40% at all times - just shifts back and forth.

Now, having said that, I have to say that I am always amazed at the depth of thought and coherence of expression of people who post to this site. Even if I totally disagree with you, it's a treat to read all of the opinions, and see the nuances that arise between similar ones. I think a lot can be said for a site that allows disagreement and discussion without inflammatory rhetoric.
