Something that I generally use to see if an idea makes sense is, if all evidence of it was erased from the Earth, would we eventually come to the same conclusion again? I'm sorry, but I don't really see that happening with a lot of religions of today. I mean, I can see religions popping up, because everyone likes religions. But I don't think they'd be the same ones.
