Assuming many of you have been to Phantom Menace. And many of you were probably as disappointed as me. Here are a couple changes I would have made in this and the next movie. Feel free to add any help for poor george that comes to mind.
First of all the jedi should have been visibly shaken within a mile of Anakin. And downright skittish when they shared the same room.
Second in the pod race when the evil alien keeps trying to kill Anakin. A nice touch would have been to hear Anakins thoughts repeating to himself " I wish you would crash,I wish you would crash" Then to his surprise the racer peels off and hits a wall for no apparent reason. There by establishing that he has power-a lot of power and that he is unconciously using it for devious purposes.
And third this is a big plot twist that would need some tricky writing but it could work. And it would really shake up the 4,5,6th movies as well. Okay hang with me on this, Obi realizes that Anakin has supreme power with little control. So through some yet undefined event like a exorcism or mind meld. Obi uses his managed control over the stronger anakin to pull the evil into himself -leaving Anakin with both strength and control of his powers. This would be great if he could do it during some sort of battle between the two of them.
Heres the twist! At this point for whatever reason. Maybe Obi is almost killed in the transformation- Obi begins to wear the Vader suit and live his identity! Allowing the more powerfull Anakin to become the Obi we all knoww in movies 4-6. This way luke is actually taught and trained by his father. When Vader kills Obi he finds no body? Did Anakin masquerading as Obi have a power no other Jedi had obtained? And for vaders dieing scene it could have been his last act of evil-tortureing the always to mushy for me (luke)
Well I hope this stimulates some responses. Ever since reading Asimov I live for major unforseen twists. Hope you like some of my long winded ideas.
