I meant only that my perceptions of the character were altered, not that his worth was damaged in any way. Darth Maul will always be associated in my mind with a let down, regardless of his quality as a character. Nothing personal, in fact rather unrelated, but nonetheless there is an association there. I guess it's like a little kid who's afraid of the doctor-- whenever he/she goes there, he/she feels bad. The doctor doesn't cause it, but still there is a connection between sickness and that doctor.
