Dagwood inadvertently destroys his new neighbor's garage, and when the neighbor sues, Dagwood spends the rest of the film dodging a process server with bad eyesight, nicely played by Shemp Howard. This was Jonathan Hale's last appearance in the series as J. C. Dithers. Starting with the next episode, Dagwood's boss would be George Radcliffe, played by Jerome Cowan, who, incidentally, appears in this film as a potential client of the Dithers Construction Company. Comic complications abound. The highlight of this outing is watching Dagwood and Dithers impersonate each other.
