Without being too serious, I guess I can mention that I often get advice from people who are not very well qualified to give it.

In addition to people with no children who offer advice on rearing children, there are people who have never flown who will tell you how dangerous airplanes are. There are non-drivers who will back-seat drive you. And non-teachers who think they know everything about teaching. People who have never been on a boat or ship will tell you that canoes are tippy and cruise ships are full of germs, murderers, and crooks. People who have never been out of the United States will tell you of the dangers of traveling abroad. People who have never been south of the Ohio River will tell you how ignorant people in Mississippi and Alabama are.

It's always good for a chuckle.
