Ah, so my research was screwed up. I definitely remember seeing footage of somebody jumping a canyon in some kind of machine and wiping out on the landing ramp on the other side. And I thought it was the Grand Canyon, as I said. So what am I remembering?

We need to find this out, or the crux of my argument -- that jumping over canyons on motorcycles is dangerous -- completely falls through.
