Here's an interesting point: if you had the power to heal people at will, and you were the only person in the world who possessed this power, would you ever feel free to do anything besides help people?

One of the most interesting explorations of superpowers I've seen is Kurt Busiek's comic series "Astro City." There's a character in there who is basically Superman (he's invincible, can fly, super hearing, etc.). He spends all of his time saving people and gets no break because he feels guilty if people die when he could have saved them.

Me, I'd just choose something like telekinesis (moving objects with my mind), so I wouldn't have to carry my keys to open locks.
