This also has some fascinating consequences in terms of how other people respond. Let's say you had this power, used it, and told people about it. Furthermore, you snap your fingers many times a day--almost constantly--to be sure no one slips past your healing power by means of a sudden death.

Almost the entire medical profession would be unnecessary, as would almost the entire insurance industry. Wars could not be fought, as soldiers would refuse to die; the military-industrial complex would grind to a halt. Health food would no longer have any advantage over better tasting fatty food. Indeed, if malnourishment is healed by your fingersnaps, then many people might just give up eating altogether. Same with sleeping if you can heal sleep-deprivation. Hey, why not allow people to just keep going and going, Energizer-bunny-like, if you can heal exhaustion? Safety measures in consumer and industrial products would be irrelevant.

Thus, with something like 95% of the modern economy obsolete, and vast savings of time due to never being tired, there would be an immediate and unimaginable economic boom. Presumably, the entire population would go into the tech, service, and entertainment industries.

Entertainment in particular would undergo changes, as violent sports and excessively dangerous activities would become harmless pastimes. Sky-diving without a parachute might still be out of bounds, due to the rather instant death, but pretty much everything short of that would be OK. Theme parks would develop incredibly punishing roller coasters.

Assuming people would still get old and die (though maybe at age 150 or so), you would be closely watched, because the entire economy would have to be changed back upon your death. The extraordinarily rapid advances in technology would assuredly occur during your Reign of Good Health due to the economic situation would presumably make the transition fairly smooth. Everyone would start working like mad a few years before your impending death, much like they started fixing their Y2K incompatible equipment in the last couple years before 2000, and like Y2K, it would turn out to be more or less a non-event.

Whether they would have any right to or not, society would be quite sure to do to you whatever they had to in order to keep you alive and fingersnapping as long as possible.
