If you move through time ten or twenty times faster than everybody else, then that means you age and die ten or twenty times faster than everybody else, at least when you're using your ability. Someone who could do that would probably think twice about using it for even dire emergencies, much less trivial things.

It wouldn't be that great if you want to be interacting with people a great deal, but if you were a hermit type, it'd be great. You wake up, walk outside and there's the most beautiful sunrise you've ever seen-you can spend 10 years with it right out your door, doing the same hermity things you always do. Would also work for scientists-they'd have 60 years to work out a cure for cancer and go down in history while all the other scientists are still stuck in time (Not to mention save 60 years worth of lives).
That'd actually be a good short story idea for a writer much better than me-doctor's girlfriend gets a fatal disease or a mortal wound, he slows down time to find a cure, but by the time he finds the cure he's old and almost ready to die himnself.
