For those that don't know, SOAT (just a code name; the real acronym will be SS) is the current AGL game that I am working on. It will complete a trilogy with "The Perils of Akumos" (POAT) and "Trail of Anguish" (OAT).

Yes, it will be harder to finish completely than the other two games were, but most of the harder stuff will be optional (but necessary for finding the secret area), and the required puzzles will on average be only a little bit harder than those in POAT.

Updated information:

2018080 bytes, 179 locations (average 11274 per location). This is about 90% as large as the other six games combined, to give you a rough idea. There's approximately enough in-game text to fill a 400-page paperback novel.

133 total objects (regular + enumerated) in the plans, with anywhere from 10 to 40 more in the remaining puzzles I have to design. 264 global variables (and many of them are overloaded and used in five or more contexts) -- the game's conditionals are much more variable-dependent than item-dependent when compared to POAT and OAT.

Estimated completion date: July - Dec. 2002
