Sinbad Comic

Join Sinbad and his merry men as they embark on a dubiously-conceived quest to foil a dubiously-conceived but probably evil plot by the evil vizier Jaffar! Sinbad Comic is a screen-cap comic based on the incredible, incomparable, and inexplicable 1989 Lou Ferrigno film, Sinbad of the Seven Seas.

Sinbad Comic is currently on hiatus but will eventually return for the fifth and final season.

Hey, that's my monitor, too!

Come to think of it, I thought I saw something on there on Sunday morning...

At the very last bubble on the last panel, I mean. The glued part. Because that is just the best.

Also, good job with the second panel editing!

I was very very amused at all of this, and then laughed SO HARD at the very last panel. I got spit on my monitor.

I love it when things go "funny funny funny FUNNYTEHEND!" :-)

I love the juggler who can't juggle at all. Basra may have a lot of busy people, but also a lot of talentless performers.

Maryam, you totally stole my line about the Looney Tunes.

I've only seen this movie once, a long LONG time ago. I really need to get the DVD and watch it again.

Oh, a footnote for those who haven't seen the movie: he really DOES drop a ring. Right as the juggler is moving out of the frame, one of the rings goes way off to the left and drops behind the fruit basket. I couldn't really capture that blunder with still images.

The second panel is actually two separate stills from the movie (one from the beginning of a pan and the other from the end of it) and spliced together so it looks like the whole area was in the shot at the same time. The pillar in the middle provided a convenient seam for the edit, but some blending was still necessary, as by the time the pillar had moved from one side of the shot to the other, the lighting on it had changed considerably.

Next week will feature a couple more composite frames like that.

Love the Looney Tunes reference.

With these stills, you can clearly see that those juggling rings are made of plastic. Basra truly is a city of wonders!

...Does this mean they're following Poe's story after all, what with having a material from the far future? 8-/

I need to read more literature that includes characters who don't know if their heads have ignited.

Basra, wow. What a crazy town! Is the guy talking about the rings supposed to be Rain Man?
