Sinbad Comic

Join Sinbad and his merry men as they embark on a dubiously-conceived quest to foil a dubiously-conceived but probably evil plot by the evil vizier Jaffar! Sinbad Comic is a screen-cap comic based on the incredible, incomparable, and inexplicable 1989 Lou Ferrigno film, Sinbad of the Seven Seas.

Sinbad Comic is currently on hiatus but will eventually return for the fifth and final season.

I have to say, most webcomics take a few strips to really get into, but I was hooked on the first one. I love the little girl, and her mother, and their interactions. This is going to be awesome!

Ahhh I saw your last post in 2008 say you had two things planned. The first was the book. If this is half as good as the book then I won't be able to help myself from checking it each week.

The little girl is hilarious.

Why does she tell her to wake up for her bedtime story? Isn't the whole point of bedtime stories to put the listener to sleep?

I'm curious... how often do you plan on updating the comic? Once a week? Thrice a week? Seven times daily?

Greatest thing ever!

wim: Kind of, yeah. Fargo doesn't claim to be based on a *specific* story, and especially not a specific story by a famous author. Fargo's claim is probably irrefutable, as "based on a true story" still leaves a lot of room for changing details around. We only know it's entirely fictional because the Coens admitted it. But had they said Fargo was based on, say, Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy, that would be a whole different story. (Ha! Did you see what I did there?)

Sam: Is it any stranger than Fargo purporting to be based on a true story?

Goosey: I imagine Eddy Poe's probably just glad that the writer was content to simply name-drop and not unleash upon the world his actual interpretation of the story.

Now I definitely have to see this movie ASAP, otherwise I won't be able to enjoy this to full capacity. I WILL FIND IT AND WATCH IT.

That was the most AWESOME. THING. EVER.
I can't wait for more. Well done.
And Elfred, you really absolutely do.
I need to go out and scrounge up the DVD, because my VHS copy is unplayable at this point.

Poe would be turning over in his grave if he weren't so comfy in it.

Sinbad FTW!

It's like the worst joke ever played on an author. Poor Mr. Poe.

I'm pretty sure if my mom had let him, my dad would have read me Poe for a bedtime story.

It boggles me that the movie purports to be based on an Edgar Allan Poe story. It isn't.
