Shakespeare

Well, I did it. For the second time this year, I went to a movie. I don't do that very often, so indulge me a let me tell you about it.

I saw "Shakespeare in Love." Now that's the way I like my Shakespeare. The last time I saw "Hamlet" it almost put me to sleep -- and that's my all time favorite. "Romeo and Juliet" hasn't held my attention in decades. Then here comes this movie with all that Shakespearian English; all those wierd characters; all those tangled plot lines and it moves like lightning. And those sets! Old WS never wrote one like that. Well, not exactly. A bunch of his material was still in there. A play within a play! Why didn't somebody think of that before? What? Oh. I guess they did.
In the future I'll look for movies with those actors.
Anyway, two thumbs up, except for that corny title.
They could have called it "The Bard and the Broad" or "Shakespeare in Heat" or ........
