Oh, "navel oranges" is just one of those terms that are intrinsically funny, ala the "How to be Funny" featurette. Also "wombat". There's an interactive fiction game called "The Golden Wombat of Destiny" which, although I've never played it, gets my vote for inclusion in the list of best-named games of all time.
