I beg to differ. Even if it isn't an original plot (as is also true of The Comedy of Errors and The Taming of the Shrew, to name a few), Slick Willie did it better. He's the one who's remembered for it, and he's the one whose name will pop up should anyone ask who wrote it. His work is still timeless because, even if it wasn't the first, it was done right.
