Went to see Part III with my daughter, who has become a Star Wars fanatic. She keeps asking me to recall specific details about the movies that played when I was her age or slightly older (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi). Most of the time I confuse the movies, but we can generally sort it out.

One thing that I cannot clarify, though, is what the "prophecy of the chosen one" is. I know Obi-Wan is heartbroken when it turns out Anakin is not the fulfillment of it. And I know Luke eventually proves to play that role.

But what is the prophecy? Balance returns to the force, and . . .

Can anyone explain it to me?
