The last time I took a walk, my feet touched nothing but asphalt and concrete. If I stand up on my roof, I can look out on my 'town' -there's no magic, though, just other rooftops. What does 'silence' mean?

wow, sounds like the way i live, even down to the ugly brown house across the street. i hate DC. There's no beauty here. one of my favorite things here (the rose garden, in GW, just across the street from my school) got replaced this summer with this big brick quad-type thing and a fountain and this ugly stone gazebo-type thing with what looks like a wooden igloo without a door on it one top. i hate it. i need beauty. oh, i know, there are suuuch beuatiful buildings... but buildings aren't trees and mountains and rivers... i envy you chris
