Yet more food related dilemmas

1) Why do sandwiches, especially cheese sandwiches, taste better if cut into triangles instead of squares and rectangles?

2) Can someone explain to me exactly what a corn dog is, how it is made and (more importantly) whether it tastes good?

3) What's the name of that food colouring made from mashed-up beetles? I've completely forgotten.
