I always found grilled cheese tasted better cut into triangles because the cheese would ooze out. I imagine you'd get the same effect if you cut off the edges, but then you lose a lot of bread. It's easier just to cut them into triangles. Also, it is more fun to bite something smaller than your mouth, or at least it always was for me. Therefore, triangles or little rectangles are more fun than big sandwiches.

No idea. I was under the impression that it was a hot dog dipped in corn meal. Personally, it doesn't sound that good, but I've never had one myself.

Again, no idea. I've never heard of it. Sounds interesting though. I'm sure other people will know what it is.
