Smallification

My flat and all my belongings have recently been smallified. ("Smallify" is, of course, the opposite of "embiggen".) I smallify the amount of junk I own every time I move house, and usually it all comes back mysteriously by the next time. However, this time I am moving overseas for a year or two, which calls for much more drastic measures.

So. The smallification is complete, and I can now list everything I own in one paragraph. Car, fridge, washing machine, dryer, four chests of drawers and a matching mirror, a carved oak rolltop desk and chair, a carved camphorwood chest, a small Persian rug, two harps, three guitars, three boxes full of assorted sheet music and small musical instruments, four swords, one quarterstaff, three daggers, one recurve bow and arrows, 12 huge boxes of books, about 80 music CDs, one suitcase of clothes, one pair of sandals, one pair of sneakers, two pairs of boots, one day pack full of miscellaneous stuff, and a laptop.

When I move, of course, I am taking only the suitcase, the day pack, and probably the laptop. Everything else is going into storage, except for the car, which I will sell just before I go. Two weeks from now, every single thing I own in the world will all fit into about two and a half square metres. I think that's pretty cool. There are *games* where you can get a bigger inventory than my real-life one, and I think that's pretty cool too, even though mine doesn't fit into a sack.

I hate the tiresome process of cleaning out junk, but I love the feeling of junklessness you get as a result.
