File this under *big adventure.*
We just got back from Georgia. Our daughter and her husband took a notion to celebrate New Years in New Orleans and we got elected kid sitters. So off we went to Georgia for a few days of being a kid again. It isn't easy keeping up with a five-year old and an eight-year-old, but I can't say it wasn't fun. Their parents got home on Thursday and on Friday, the Bedford, Mass. branch of the family showed up on Saturday. My nephew, his wife, and kids are transplanted Yankees who live about an hour from our daughter. Well his mom, who is my sister, and her husband and their daughter, who is my niece, all came down to my nephew's and a whole van load of them came over to our daughter's house, which if you are still with me, is where we were. I think that was about 12 or 14 people there eating southern cooking and yakking about old times.

Grandson Alex was really happy because my nephew's kids are both boys about his age and in spite of never having met before, they had a great time.

I hope all this qualifies as a *big adventure.*

So we drove home today and it is utterly quiet. Then I go on RinkWorks and it's even quieter than utterly.
