And hasn't everything that happens after episode VI been given over to the Star Wars novels? From what I've heard, the Star Wars novels are Lucas-approved and are considered "canon." Meaning that they are an "official" part of the Star Wars universe. Authors who want to write a Star Wars novel have to make sure their books don't contradict or conflict with any of the other novels that have been written, and their story ideas must be approved, or so I've heard. Any movies taking place after RotJ would have to jive with those books, wouldn't they?
