I considered posting on this as well, because I'm the same as you in that way. I love genealogy.

If I remember correctly, "removed" refers to being offset by a generation. My first cousin once removed would be the cousin of one of my parents, or the child of one of my cousins. A first cousin twice removed would be the cousin of a grandparent, or the grandchild of a cousin... A second cousin once removed is the second cousin of my parent or the child of my second cousin... Etc. Correct?

3&9 are first cousins once removed. Any other combination I listed above would require a bigger chart.
