I usually don't post here much, because I'm the type who would rather listen than talk, but I know there are intelligent people here and I wanted to bring up this concept for discussion.

Have any of you ever heard of Indigo Children? I just recently became aware of them and the subject is intriguing. The concept of Indigo Children offers a different explanation of children often labeled ADD or ADHD and suggests that the children are not the problem, the aging "system" is. These children are described as gifted, bright, and even the next step in human evolution. They are also seen as non-conformists and troublemakers, as the standard ways (ie, punishment by force and intimidation) do not work with them and make them act out more. A friend just turned me on to this idea yesterday and I am interested because my four year old son fits the description.

Just curious what everyone else's thoughts are on this?
