Let me throw this in too, as I could never really fully explain the concept behind Indigo children without writing an extremely long post.

The idea is grounded in metaphysical spirituality. The term indigo refers to the life color of the child's aura. Indigo is also the color associated with the Third Eye chakra. These children are said to have clairvoyant and telopathic abilities.

I don't necessarily subscribe to metaphysical beliefs, but I like to keep an open mind about these things.
