I've actually been waiting for someone to bring that up. Darien is not my real name, nor did I take it from Sailor Moon. I have the full story posted around here somewhere, but I'll condense it for you. There's a character in a book I wrote awhile back named Darien K. Dreamweaver, a name of which I am very fond. I got the "Darien" from the Chinese port city of Darien, actually. I had, at the time, never even heard of Sailor Moon.

Several months ago, I met a lovely girl who is now a very good friend of mine who also happens to be a Sailor Moon fanatic, and she was quick to point out that Tuxie's name is Darien. Therefore, when we all picked our Sailor Moon identities (a long story), I was a shoe-in for Darien / Tuxedo Mask.

On another note: wha ha! I now have two threads with my name in them, as well! :-}
