Well, in case some of you didn't know, I had to read some short stories by an author of my choice for a repot that I have to do. Well, I chose H. G. Wells, and here's my anaylsis of the stories that I read. My instructor changed the required number of stories from 6 to 4, so I'll only be using the first four for my report. I'll probably post my report sometime next week once I get it finished.

The Time Machine- Great story, I loved it. I hope most people know the basic plot of this story by now. One man developes a time machine and goes far into the future to seeming find a utopia, but its not as it appears...

The Flowering of the Strange Orcid- It's an ok story (the best story about a plant that I've ever read). A man buys a unique flower at an auction I, believe, and the can't wait until it blooms, but wait and see what happens after it blooms.

The Man Who Could Work Miracles- Another good story. A man is somehow given the power to make anything happen. Whether it be breakfast or transporting a man to Hades, there is nothing this man can't do. But this man almost destroys the whole planet in the process.

The Diamond Maker- Another good story. Man has always dreamed of a way to make diamonds. One of the characters in this story has discovered how, but in the process, has lost everything

And the two other stories:

The Stolen Bacillus- I didn't think this was too great. I didn't understand it that well. Although that could have been because I was watching tv at the time...

The Valley of the Spiders- This one was ok too. Three man enter a valley after a girl, and something strange happens to them.

Well, that's all. Sorry about the last two. I can't remember them too well (although I could read them again). I would have loved to read War of the World or The First Men In the Moon for this report, but I didn't have the time. I plan on reading them before I return this book, though.
