You get all that from a use of the word "redneck"? Relax a little. I was born in Virginia. Two of my uncles married Southerners: one from Tennessee and one from North Carolina. Granted, the word 'redneck' tends to refer to those living further south; nonetheless, for all the people I've known in the South and all the times I've visited there, South or Deep South, I don't even think I ever did meet someone who falls into the "redneck" stereotype. Nonetheless, just because a stereotype exists doesn't mean nobody falls into that pattern of behavior. They're out there. But how does fitting a stereotype immediately mean that the recognition of that stereotype is an attack? I assume this post refers to the Dialectizer. Where do you get "prejudice" out of that? It's not there. The Dialectizer is not derogatory. Did you read my note on racial discrimination?

I think you're taking yourself too seriously. A lot of people take themselves too seriously. Why you saw fit to bring the Civil War into this, I don't particularly want to know.
