POA: cat, trapped miner, kitchen, bratty child

I am far along in the game, so this post inevitably will contain spoilers.

Could someone please give me a hint about what to do next? Here is a list of my problems (well, the ones I'm having with the game anyway).

I am trying to remove an angry feline from my living quarters.

I have explored some colored caves and found a miner, but I did not have the tools to free him.

I have stolen something from a witch but can't find where to use it. (I also read a message to her from a guy who wants a particular mineral, but I can't locate him (or the mineral).)

I can't reach the last component to do to a repair job in the corridor outside my living quarters. Perhaps this would lead to my being able to get a Spiffy-Cola for the brat?

A shady business man I know of wants another piece of jewlery, but I don't have one.

Now you know that Solomon Kepler is not only the Director of Station Operations on the Corolis but also a captain in the ISO. This makes him doubly a threat. You can't afford to get caught by the ISO, but you may also have to worry about the other GSIP personnel around the station. You feel relieved to have Kevin Johnson on your side, at least. You wonder why the ISO has blockaded the passenger docking bay. Maybe Kepler is planning a getaway. In that case, you'll have to stop him quickly.
