I would like to buy my daughter an MP3 player for Christmas this year.

Is it worth it to get a name brand (like an IPod), or is it a better deal to get a generic player?

Can she convert her current CD tracks to MP3 files using our PC?

How about the other way? If she wants to burn an MP3 file to a CD, is that possible?
