My polling place was literally just at the end of the block from my house, so I didn't have far to go to cast my vote this morning. I expected to have to wait forever, but there was hardly anybody there. I live in a fairly poor neighborhood, and I thought "the poor" were insanely motivated to vote this year. But the only people there were me and a bunch of old people (I think the average age of the officials and the voters present was about 75 until I walked in). "Old people" traditionally vote Republican, and "the poor" traditionally vote Democrat, so the demographics were totally mixed up from what I expected. But who knows.

The funny thing is, Carrie went and voted during an early voting period on Friday, and apparently the place was packed then. So maybe the joke's on the people who all took advantage of early voting to "avoid the rush"!

Anyway, I totally voted for Beer Guy for Senator. That rules.
