This calls for a full investigation. Being a former fat guy and getting-there old people, I think I am qualified to investigate.

OK, that's finished. Here are my findings.

Fat guys eat a lot and therefore restaurants would rather hit them with a fat-guy sur-charge than a discount. Seniors, on the other hand are usually slimmer and are not allowed to eat anything that tastes good or looks expensive.

Old people have a variety of experience in lobbying and are very effective. There is a difference between complaining and lobbying, but if you want to know the difference, that will be another investigation.

As for offending people in 30 seconds, you don't have to worry about old people. They have already become immune to offending. Also they don't hear offending very well, so it doesn't really matter. I never get offended. I have been chewed out by a traffic cop, a poll-worker, a librarian, an elevator operator, a two-star general, a meter maid, a bus driver, a wife, assorted teachers, my doctor, my parents, my grandchildren, and a few others too numberous to mention, so I don't offend anymore

As for cheap stuff; yes, sometimes you get stuff that is cheap in cost and sometimes just cheap, but often you get the same greaseburger that costs younger customers a dime more.

As for discounts, you don't need to be old or fat. All you need is a coupon.
