Sadly, we lost Ray Charles today. His music was so unique there is no one to compare him to.

My favorite Ray Charles story:
Ray and Stevie Wonder are sitting on a park bench when Stevie asks, "Ray, what's all this stuff about black people and white people?"

Ray replies, "Beats me. They all look the same to me."

I don't know if it really happened or not. Maybe I saw it on TV, or maybe I just dreamed it.

Former President Reagan was an old man. But Ray was a young guy, about my age. I was expecting Reagan to go any time, but felt like we might have Ray for a few more years.
