There are few people living who will leave a legacy like Ray Charles. He not only played and sang a variety of music, he did all of them equally well. He was an entertainer, and people love to be entertained. I place him up there with Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong and Nat Cole, but none of them could do Ray Charles music like Ray Charles.

And did you know that his name was Ray Charles Robinson? He shortened it early in his career.

I also found that he was 73. Willie Nelson, Donald Duck and I are all 70, but Ray was a little older.
