This is quite offtopic but the mention of safe toys reminded me of this:

I have a little borother. He is now a bit over 2 years old. I was just wondering what *are* the toys for 2 year olds. I mean really: more then half of his current toys should not be used by under three-year olds. It seems that babies under 3 should sit in bed and play with rattles and plush animals all day for them to be safe. When my cousin asked a saleswoman in a toystore what should he get for my brothers 2nd bithday she offered him just stuff like rattles. Geez, he hasn't played with those things since he was 1. It seems anything else is too dangerous for him.
