When my son turned one, his nicest gift was a
rocking horse. It's large, it's made out of
plastic and it's all one piece. No choking
hazard there. He loved it. He's three now and
he still plays with it. Of course his miniature
cars and trucks demand more of his attention
nowadays. He's had those since he was two
at least. We just had to watch him. We've
recently had to start taking them away from
him because he's started putting them in his
mouth again. Heaven knows why. I hope it's
just one of those mysterious "phases" that
children go through.
