Some of you are young enough to have had a Big Wheel when you were young. It's one of the few toys that is safe and exciting. At a yard sale about a year ago, I talked myself out of a sale. A lady was looking at a tricycle for her grandson and she worried that he might tip it over. So I told her that tricycles should all be in museums because of that problem. Then I recommended a Big Wheel. The center of gravity is so low, it is almost impossible to turn it over. I have seen kids spin them completely around on pavement without a hint of tipping over. They are also very light weight and stopping them is no problem. They just put their feet down and it stops.

They are also fairly cheap. When they wear the front wheel out by spinning it, just trash it and buy a new one. You can also save the old one for parts if you have a place to keep it.

The seat is adjustable to make up for growing legs. All it takes is a screwdriver.
