Some other Wow! views: The Na Pali cliffs from the Kalalau lookout on Kauai. On a clear day, you can see 4000 feet down to the ocean. Go early in the day. Take a sweater.
Haleakala Crater from Red Hill 10,024 feet above sea level, in Haleakala National Park on Maui. Go at sun rise. Take two sweaters.
The Pali Highway from Honolulu to Kailau Bay. Go early for a clearer view. You don't need a sweater unless you ride the bus.
Look Rock, Foothills Parkway, between Maryville and Townsend, Tennessee.
The New River Gorge, somewhere in West Virginia.
Sunset in Key West. Sunglasses recommended.
Sunset in Lahaina, Maui. Take a camera. That's Lanai on the left and Molokai on the right.
Kilauea Crater, Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii. Watch your step.
Las Vegas at night from the air. Sunglasses recommended.
Morro Bay, California from Montana de Oro State Park. View includes Morro Rock.
Mt. Rainier from anywhere. Take a sweater if you go for a closer look.
Colombia River Gorge, from I-84 east of Portland. Let somebody else drive so you can look.
The coast of Maine
Glacier Bay, Alaska
The deserts east of Palm Springs, California.
Grand Canyon
I can't seem to trim this down to a top ten, and I haven't even mentioned the Outer Banks of North Carolina, or Great Salt Lake yet. Or Yellowstone. Or the Indian River at Fort Pierce (from the bridge). Or Tampa Bay. Howard
