How would you then know for sure? Even if you *did* have an apparent conversation with God...for all you know, you might just be talking to an advanced alien life form maliciously pretending to be God. (Yeah, I'm being facetious, but stop and think about it...every interaction between man and God recounted from generation to generation and recorded in scripture could have been between man and a powerful but ultimately limited alien race. Scary!)

I really don't like this sort of argument. It came up in that recent thread about God not being bound by logical restrictions. I don't see any reason to assert that God has such ability. If there's any scriptural support for it, I'd be interested in seeing it (note: I don't mean miracles which seem to defy physical laws -- I mean knowingly made references to logically impossible statements being actuated).

A descriptor such as "all-powerful" wouldn't be convincing enough to me unless a strong case could be made that the person who used that term really *meant* it in the sense of including even logically impossible acts.
