But are you two able to read or write entire book pages without seeing them mutate in the way I've described?

Comment on the reading, I have always been able to read fine in my dreams, and I thought I was a super genius when I was watching Batman and he figured out he was ain a dream because he couldn't read anything. And I can run in my dreams, but I have never, ever flown. I really wanna have one of these dreams, they sound incredible. Although, as a child, I always had these dreams where I would be on a horizontal escalator (like at the airport), and it would end and I would fall and hit the ground and wake up at that instant. I had this dream like a hundred times.
