Some bits of dialogue disappeared, and some details in the action, but for the most part it sticks very close to the book. The portrayal of Quidditch was very good, and better than I'd imagined it (now that's saying something). In fact, there was only one thing I wasn't too happy about, and that was in one of the scenes towards the end. When you've seen the film, see if you can guess which bit that is.

Yeah, it's "Sorcerer's Stone" over here. Was the book originally titled "Philosopher's Stone" too?

I have had a strong hatred for movies made for kids this year, but this one looks pretty good. The kid who plays Harry Potter looks like a very young John Lennon. I don't know why, he just does.
