Actually, the Hebrew word for day as found in Genesis 1 is "yom" which can be translated to mean 24 hours or the length of time in one day that the sun is shining. I say "can" because the overwhelming majority of the 1704 times it is found in the Old Testament it is used in that manner. So maybe it is slighty more than can...
