DVDs and the Need to Swear

Yesterday, I decided to buy myself two before-time birthday present - Namely, the Episode One DVD set, and the Simpsons First Season DVD sets.

First, the Star Wars one. The disk with the documentary and stuff works perfectly, the other does not. That is, I don't get the actual movie - The computer wants to format the disk. So I'm gonna take it back to the store today, but I feel it'll be an hassle.

Then, the simspsons one. It's great, get me right. Only one thing. It's a region 1 DVD, wich mean North America, right? Well, they put the european French dubbing track. I'll put it frankly - It *S*U*C*K*S*, so I'm stuck watching it in English. Still worth the buy, but damned annoying.

This might be really hard for americans to understand, but the difference is... Well, huge. Heck, Krusty's sidekick is called Tahiti Bob in the European version. And the voices are all horrible. And the jokes are all more boring and they have this HORRIBLY THICK French accent.

Plus they subtitle stuff that doesn't need to, IE, streets signs and stuff.

Anwyay
