The question about "the daily little things" versus "saving it for the special occasions" got me to thinking about romance--something I do frequently but am not very good at. Here's my little problem. Oh! Did I say problem? I mean, question. I don't have romance problems, being the hunk that I am and all. heh...heh...yeah.

Anyway, let me first set the stage. I am currently out of work by my own choice. I do have a small occasional income, but it isn't steady and it isn't much. Therefore, I do not have much money at all. Actually, I haven't enough money to put gas in my car most often. This really takes its toll on my social life. Having gone through a pretty tough break-up in the past 2 or 3 months, I am anxious to get back into dating. As a matter of fact, I have several girls in mind that I would like to go out with. However, given my financial situation, I don't see how it would be fair for me to ask anyone out seeing as how I do not have the money to take them anywhere. So, my problem is this: I want to go out with someone, but don't have the money to pay to go anywhere. My question to you all is this: How would you deal with this situation, or how would you react to being asked out by someone who obviously doesn't have any money?
