RINK DREAM ALERT!!! posted by ThePhan on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at 20:29:20:

...wow. What an, hmmm, interesting *cough* subconcious you have... ;-) I like the part about the church doors. If I were going to interpret this I'd say it refers to the religious discussions going on here, and how not everyone likes them (the doors are halfway cemented), but Sam is willing to allow them to go on (he is the one able to pry them open). Could that be close? But I agree with a comment by a poster on a previous dream thread, that you are probably the best one to interpret your own dream.
Here's my Rinkdream, if anyone can stand to hear another one:
I am in Sam & Leen's house. It is a very modern house, with lots of stark white walls, unusually shaped windows, and it's multi-leveled. Every day they send out a little brightly colored beach tent--like those old-fashioned changing room tents you see in English comedies--that flies around the town and then returns to their home. I am sitting on the stairs between levels, observing. I am surprised that Sam & Leen allow me--a complete stranger--in their home. They appear to be rather stern people, and do not talk to me or look in my direction. I do not talk to them either. This is okay with everybody. Many other people come in and out of the house, walking to and fro. They do not talk to me either. I vaguely notice there are some sort of dolls or doll clothes on the stairs where I am sitting.
The interpretation:
The house is a metaphor for Rinkworks. It's modern (the web is a modern media) it's white (lotsa white background for the pages on this site) and has unusual windows (unusual views/content found here). Since there are a lot of different "things to do" on this site, it's not surprising I dreamed it as being "multi-leveled". The beach tent is also a metaphor for Rinkworks--it's brightly colored (interesting/gets my attention), it's old-fashioned (humor content like stupid jokes are "good old-fashioned fun", if you will), and it flies all around town (Rinkworks "flies" all around the world, actually).
Being a born lurker, my natural pose is to observe, so there I am on the stairs, just looking around. Being between levels probably also reflects my indecision to join in at times.
The sterness I pick up from Sam & Leen has to do with the stronger admin presence here than (I am told) on other sites.
No one is talking to me = no one is talking to me.. Rinkchat isn't my thing.
And the doll clothes? Why, that's Leen's model horse tack, of course :-)
