Heh heh. When I posted this, I thought that might come up...

Technically, I would say that eighteen is much younger than twenty-three. However, twenty-one is not much younger than twenty-six (for some reason) and that's more like what you'll be when you graduate. ;-)

The rule of thumb I was taught for dating was "Never date anyone younger than half your age plus seven years." I would guess, then, that you should also never date anyone older than your age, minus seven, doubled. This rule narrows down your options significantly at age fourteen, and provides maximum benefit when you're in your eighties. :-)
