You are far more likely to be struck by lightning, bitten by a poisonous snake, or seriously injured in your own home. The trouble with phobias is that they are stupid and illogical, to use your words, and we still worry about them no matter how unlikely they are. I worry about falling off high places. My logic is that if you are going to have a phobia, it might as well be logical. I avoid high places like the plague, so I guess that reduces the odds. Oops! Now I'm back to stupid and illogical. > Howard
How high is high? You could get hurt falling off a footstool. Do you avoid footstools? Ladders? Rooftops? Mountains? You've been to Clingman's Dome and climbed to the top, so I guess you're not afraid of mountains. Is it flying then? In a plane, you're higher than the mountain. But you like to travel, and I know you fly a lot. So I guess the cut off must be higher still.
I know what it is. You're afraid to go to outer space. Well, let me ease your stupid and illogical fear. You don't weigh anything in outer space, see? So you can't FALL! All this time, you've been afraid for nothing!
