Did you see "Out of Sight" ? His performance was quite something, actually -- he's come a long way. But I do agree that an acting award at this stage is a bit overmuch. He still has a ways to go. It was just nice to see that he's moving in the right direction at an admirable rate.

His next movie is going to be a Coen Brothers movie (Blood Simple, Barton Fink, Fargo) called "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" The Coen Brothers are reportedly very controlling when it comes to directing the actors, much like Hitchcock was. They have everything they want in mind, and they'll tell the actors exactly how to say their lines and what gestures to make. It should be interesting to see how George Clooney does in that kind of highly disciplined environment.
